NPN prints art books for museums and artists nationally and internationally. Art books are collectors' items. The lifespan of an art book is long and requires a well-considered choice of materials. You know that NPN works with graphic specialists to make every book to perfection. Designers, paper suppliers and bookbinders are involved in these projects.

Complex in production.

Art books are often multilingual and usually contain a lot of visual material. That makes the process complex. It can be a long process to realize an art book because many choices have to be made. Sometimes dozens of graphic artists work on a book. In order to streamline projects, we have people in house who are experienced. They take control so that every step in the production process is supervised and monitored.

Realistic image reproduction.

It is a fantastic challenge to make books for the art and museum world. The challenge lies partly in the complexity of image reproduction. We strive for the truest possible reproduction of the original works of art. Sometimes the images supplied do not suffice in terms of quality. Our lithographer then lithographs on the basis of originals in order to adjust colours and lines to reality in detail.

Durable printed matter.

The binding and binding material is adapted to the long life of the art book. Inks may have higher pigments. Paper is as always carefully selected for the application.

Production at NPN is climate-neutral. We recently introduced a new chemistry-free platesetter, which saves us 20,000 litres of water every year.
